The Capital Region Buddy Walk is a one-mile inspirational walk and day of free activities that aims to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome by inviting the surrounding community to learn more and to, ultimately, embrace the individuality of their neighbours.
Become a fan of our new Capital Region Buddy Walk Facebook page. Receive updates about the event, tell us about your "Team" plans and upload photos.
Teen Dances are held several times throughout the year for individuals in Grades 6 and up.
Come meet new people, enjoy food and beverages, and dance with your friends at the next event!

for "THE I CAN RIDE" Bike Camp, specifically designed to teach children with special needs how to ride a two wheel bike.
Each camper is assigned one session, which is their session for five consecutive days. There are no overlapping sessions. DSAHRC Transition: Preschool Special Education To School Age Services
What happens when my child goes to kindergarten?
Transitions are made easier when families and providers understand the process. It can be a time of excitement and anxiety. This workshop will help participants to understand the transition process, to be an active member of the transition team, to understand the difference between services in CPSE and CSE, and to understand the components of an IEP. Parents will leave from this workshop with a better understanding of what to expect as their children move on to kindergarten. We will discuss these topics with a focus on children with Down syndrome.
