Lending Library

The Lending Library, located at the Centre du syndrome de Down (DSAHRC), has a wide variety of books available to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and professionals that address all aspects of education for students with Down syndrome including reading, mathematics, communication skills, speech and language development and inclusive education. Books are loaned out for 4 weeks at a time.

Leveled Books:

The resource center has a library of fiction and non-fiction text books that are used to teach students reading and develop literacy skils.These books are leveled using the Fountas and Pinnell leveling system.

The Library also has Reference Books and Software for use in the office.

This book tells the reader what skills are appropriate for each stage of development from birth to age 6, how the skills are broken down into the component steps, detailed instructions for activities for practicing each step, and guidelines or tips for doing the activities.
